Chief Master Sgt. Dudley J. Hinote is the bass trombonist of the Airmen of Note, The United States Air Force Band, Washington, D.C. In addition to his performing responsibilities, he is the flight chief of the Airmen of Note. A native of Titusville, Fla., Chief Hinote's career in the Air Force began in 1988.

Chief Hinote attended Florida State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1987. While attending college, he studied bass trombone with Dr. William Cramer and Dr. John Drew, and euphonium with Paul Ebbers. During his time at Florida State, Chief Hinote had the opportunity to perform in various ensembles, to include the symphonic band, wind orchestra, trombone choir, jazz ensemble, and the famed Marching Chiefs Marching Band. He also played for two years in the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. During the summers of 1983 and 1984, he was hired to perform in the Walt Disney World All-American College Marching Band.

After leaving college, Chief Hinote spent a summer in Daytona Beach, Fla., performing in the pit orchestra of a repertory music theatre company. In 1986, he moved to Orlando, Fla., where he took a job with the Walt Disney Company. Soon after joining the company, he secured a position in a new performing group with Disney called the T-Bone Brass. Throughout his professional career, Chief Hinote has performed with numerous well-known artists including George Roberts, Doc Severinsen, Bobby Shew, Marvin Stamm, John Faddis, Michael Brecker, Kenny Werner and Peter Erskine.
