Technical Sgt. Julia Brundage is an alto vocalist with the Singing Sergeants, The United States Air Force Band,Washington, D.C. In addition to her performing duties, she is the unit's assistant advertising manager for the National Capitol Region. A native of Annandale, Va., Sergeant Brundage's career in the Air Force began in April 2005.
A 2001 graduate of Virginia Tech, Sergeant Brundage earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in voice, and was active in the Early Music Ensemble, Chamber Singers, Roanoke Opera and a freelance Irish band. She continued her education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, again involving herself in the Early Music Ensemble and Chamber Choir. Sergeant Brundage also appeared as a soloist with the Boulder Chorale. Her teachers have included Nancy McDuffie, Kathryn Hearden, Patrick Mason and Claudia Catania.
