The United States Air Force Band's Summer Concert Series has been part of Washington's cultural life for more than a half-century. Throughout the summer months of June, July and August, the Band's performing ensembles present free outdoor concerts at historic venues in our nation's capital for Washington area residents, as well as for visitors from around the world.

Performances by the Band's Airman musicians can be enjoyed at the west steps of the U.S. Capitol every Tuesday evening, at the National Sylvan Theater (by the Washington Monument) on Wednesday evenings, and at the U.S. Air Force Memorial every Friday evening throughout the summer. Additional performances occur at outdoor venues throughout the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area as well.

A notable highlight of the summer schedule is the Independence Day Celebration at the U.S. Air Force Memorial. Enjoy the concert, then view the fireworks over the National Mall from one of the best vantage points in the area.
