U.S. Air Force Band Members Perform at Navy Sax Symposium
Master Sgt. Jeremy Koch performed at the United States Navy International Saxophone Symposium. His program included “Giallo” by Nathan Lincoln-Decusaties and “Pit Band” by William Albright. Sergeant Koch, a saxophonist with the Concert Band, was joined by the Band’s bass clarinetist, Master Sgt. John Romano. The USAF Band regularly represents the very best of the men and women of the United States Air Force at music conferences, clinics and symposiums—often before the most esteemed industry leaders and professionals.

1/31/2011 - JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, D.C. -- Each year, The United States Navy Band hosts the International Saxophone Symposium at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. This year, Master Sgts. Jeremy Koch and John Romano--members of The USAF Concert Band, performed at the conference. Sergeant Koch, a saxophonist in the Band, began his program with "Giallo." This work was composed by Nathan Lincoln-Decusaties and was written especially for the occasion. Sergeant Romano--bass clarinetist with the Band--joined Sergeant Koch for another new work, "Pit Band," by William Albright.

Now in its 34th year, the International Saxophone Symposium has one of the largest audiences of any saxophone-only event in the country today. The U.S. Air Force Band regularly represents the very best of the men and women of the United States Air Force at music conferences, clinics and symposiums--often before the most esteemed industry leaders and professionals. This is part of the Band's mission: to inspire our citizens to heightened patriotism and service through the utilization of the powerful medium of music.
