Celebrate Independence Day!

6/30/2011 - JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING -- This year, there will be two exciting opportunities to celebrate Independence Day with The United States Air Force Band in Washington, D.C. If you prefer to be in the middle of all the celebratory activities, you can catch us on the National Mall at 6 p.m. Or if you prefer to view the festivities from a panoramic view, then you have the option to come hear us the Air Force Memorial at 8 p.m.
The Airmen of Note, Max Impact, the Air Force Strings and country music superstar Jo Dee Messina will celebrate Independence Day with a concert sponsored by the National Park Service. The concert begins at 6 p.m. on the National Mall at the base of the Washington Monument, Washington, D.C.
The Concert Band and Singing Sergeants will commemorate the holiday at the Air Force Memorial, located at One Air Force Memorial Drive in Arlington, Va. The concert, which begins at 8 p.m., will culminate with a spectacular view across the Potomac River of the fireworks from the National Mall. Parking is located just off of Columbia Pike, directly across from the Memorial.
