Clarinet quartet to present chamber performance

2/26/2012 - Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, D.C. -- At 8 p.m. on Friday March 2, 2012 at the Burke United Methodist Church in Burke, Va., The U.S. Air Force Band's Chamber Series will feature four of The Band's newest members in a clarinet quartet performance.
Featuring Technical Sgts. Kristin King, Laura Henry, Brian Wahrlich and Sara Wollmacher, the concert will feature a diverse selection of music, showcasing the ensemble in everything from traditional band literature to contemporary rhythmic works and even a little latin flavor. Composers spotlighted on the concert include Percy Grainger, Jorge Montilla, Antonin Dvorak and Alfred Prinz.
The United States Air Force Band's Chamber Players Series draws vocalists and instrumentalists from every performing ensemble of the organization. Featuring soloists and small ensembles, these FREE recitals provide Washington, D.C., audiences a wonderful opportunity to enjoy performances of the finest music from the genres of classical chamber music, jazz and country.
